3 Rivers 04:50
Three Rivers 3 Rivers that run through my door I walk beside them to see how they flow Watching the rivers flow stills my brain Feel at home in the early morning rain One flows from the south-west down along the glen The other starts at the east side of long Loch Earn One tumbles down from the North With its Deil's Cauldrons and their foam and froth Blackthorn and Hawthorn bloom in the spring Wild Garlic and Bluebells do their thing and maybe soon the sandmartins will arrive My joy rushes to them as they swoop and dive Rivers change as they move along Many paths we walked are long long gone Our children grow and they move away To find their own river songs to sing Blackthorn and Hawthorn bloom in the spring Wild Garlic and Bluebells do their thing and maybe soon the sandmartins will arrive my heart flies with them as they swoop and dive Fly Fishers, Wild Swimmers Dog Walkers, Runners and Ramblers Stone Skippers, Rock Jumpers Teenage Drinkers, Young Firemakers Duck Racers, Raft Makers Hogmany Flambeaux Bearers 3 Rivers that run through my door Walk beside them to see how they flow Watching the rivers flow stills my brain Feel at home in the early morning rain Feel at home in the early morning rain Feel at home in the early morning rain.

Fairweather 06:03
Fairweather Would you come to me in stormy weather Would you come when skies are grey or would you rather be my Fairweather Just blowing in when everything is OK Would you lie awake with me in darkest November Chase away my night time fears or would you rather be my Fairweather Just waiting for daylight to appear We could step out in the ebb and flow Feel the tug of the undertow But still we'd refuse to go - away We could swim out to sea - and far from the shore Ride back in on a big wave - like a good surfers do So would you come to me in stormy weather Would you come when skies are grey Or would you rather be my Fairweather Just blowing in when everything OK We could step out in the ebb and flow Feel the tug of the undertow But still we'd refuse to go - away.

Sweeter 04:40
Sweeter Sweet as your baby Sweet as your night time dreams How sweet is your life - hard as it sometime seems Sweeter than the honey bee - taking honey from the vine Your life could be this sweet - some of the time Saw you this morning - high on the mountain side Arms wide open - running through that wild mountain thyme Never take you for granted - its the last thing I'd ever do Your in me like rock - you run through and through For every river that flows Theres a deep where no-one goes Where the water stays cold all the time Yet in every heart that beats Theres a love that won't retreat Where you'll always stay in mine Sweet as your baby - sweet as your night time dreams

Red Kites 05:29
Red Kites Wish I was the morning to your night We could dance at dawn - all darkness and light Wish I was the morning to your night We could dance at dawn all darkness and light We could spiral high just like those Red Kites Wish I was the wind in your sails 12 feathers in your tail Wish I was the warmth - to make your bones feel light and we could wheel and glide just like those red kites And if we hold on will we hold on too tight and if we loose our grip will we take flight and we could spiral high just like those red kites Up on the moor to watch you fly Wings spread wide cross the evening sky Stood still on the cold cold ground As you sailed into the sun going down Wish I was the morning to your night We could dance at dawn all darkness and light Wish I was the morning to your night We could dance at dawn all darkness and light We could spiral high just like those red kites We could wheel and glide just like those red kites We could dance at dawn all darkness and light.

Closer Still 04:25
Closer Still See you in the daytime - even in the dark of night Sense you in the distance - even when you're still out of sight Even though were so far apart I hold you close Closer to my heart We're walking and talking -if only in my minds eye We're sitting in a cafe - imagining the world go by Even though were so far apart I stlll hold you close - closer to my heart No matter where these paths might lead us Or where our journeys just might end You know I'll always hold on to you A shining light and a friend No matter where these paths might lead us Or where our journeys just might end You know Ill always hold on to you Kindred spirit and a friend See you in the daytime - even in the dark of night Sense you in the distance - even when you're still out of sight Even though we're so far apart I still hold you close - closer to my heart I hold you close - closer to my heart Hold you close - closer to my heart

about

Three Rivers feels like it is born out of recent times with a recognition of the need to be there for each other (Fairweather, Sweeter, Closer Still, Red Kite, Hold Me Tight) even when its not easy or physically possible......along with a growing recognition of the importance of nature and place and simple pleasures (3 Rivers, Red Kites, First Warm Day, La Playa).
